BII's piston transducers are made from Tonpilz (Langevin, Sandwich, Transmission Line) elements with features of high power, medium Qm, and low frequency. Custom-fit array can be set up with multiple transducers in field to increase sound level and achieve narrow beam.
Some typical transducers are listed below, bespoke transducers with customized resonant frequency fs and radiation area are available.

The quality factors Qm listed above are original without impedance matching.
Driving Signal: Pulsed and burst SINE/Square/Chirp/FM excitation, CW.
Depth Rating: 1. 50 to 300 m, refer to respective datasheet; 2. Customized, Contact BII.
Beam Pattern: Conical
Side lobes: If -3dB one-way beam width ≥ 49°, No side lobes; If -3dB one-way beam width < 49°, Side lobe level < -17.7 dB.
Side lobe suppression: Available for BII-7506/60 ONLY: ≤-30 dB.
Temperature Sensor: 1. Default: No built-in temperature sensor.
2. Built-in temperature sensor. When ordering, append TS to part number for integrating a temperature sensor in the transducer. Click Temperature Characteristics for more information.
Impedance Matching: BII-6010 Bespoke Impedance Matching between transducers and power amplifiers. Order Separately.
Append IM to the part number listed above for integrating BII-6010 in the transducer.
TR Switch: BII-2100 Transmitting & Receiving Switch. Not Included. Order Separately, Append TR to part number.
